A K.I.S.S. from Four Names Each

Back when I was in high school, it was popular to leave acronyms when you signed people’s yearbooks. Everyone tried to come up with their own clever little acronyms:

“Have a great summer! B.I.T.C.H. (Being In Touch Can’t Hurt) Love ya!”

But by far, the one that stuck with me (and that I’ve heard many times in many different contexts) was K.I.S.S. or Keep It Simple, Stupid.

Here at FNE, (see what I did there with the acronym?), a new theme was desperately needed for the blog and when choosing a new format, I decided to K.I.S.S. or, keep it simple (stupid).

I hope you like the new, simple + clean layout. Eventually, we’ll switch to a fancy paid layout and I’ll actually have someone do some design-y stuff, but for now, I think this works out just fine.

AND WE’RE BACK.

Sorry I haven’t posted in over a week, but I had some adventures in Canada and Chicago that kept me without reliable wifi for nine days and, as much I love my readers, I ain’t payin’ international roaming fees just to update the blog.

So so so much stuff coming soon. I’m about to cook dinner for la familia and then I’ll sit my butt down in front of the computer and get to gettin’. I have recipes, photos of all the cute crap my kids do, and I may even post some of the photos from the zany shenanigans I was part of in Britney Spears’ favorite overseas country.

Strap yourselves in because we are about. to. ride.

Four Names Each + USFamilyGuide.com

Four Names Each is now a member of US Family Guide’s Moms Connect blog directory. The Family Guide is an amazing resource for parents to find local coupons, reviews, and discounts as well as childcare, shopping, dining, and activity information in their area. The Moms Connect directory is a great place to find other mommy blogs and submit your own blog for consideration.

I’m really excited to be part of this amazing network of parents and bloggers!

Big things poppin’

I got some exciting news when I checked my email tonight. I submitted a piece to Thought Catalog and it’s going to be published soon. If you haven’t checked out the site Thought Catalog, the Twitter account, or the blog, you’re seriously missing out. Thought Catalog was one of the first accounts I followed when I finally caved into peer pressure and joined Twitter. I’m super excited that I’m going to be a contributing writer. Once it gets published, I’ll post it here on the blog. In the meantime, I’ll be posting more gems. Check back daily!
